Loads of Success While Opening #32 in Whitehall, Ohio!

On January 14th, 2023 we opened our first store in Whitehall, Ohio, making it 3 in the state! At the grand opening, we offered $1 wash and free dry which eventually led to totally free wash and dry. Which the community raved about, sharing the word through Facebook, TikTok, and Instagram! The community of Whitehall is no joke when it comes to the laundromat business.

Like many of our locations, this location at 3593 East Main Street is equipped with 40 machines capable of washing and drying loads in as little as one hour. Super-sized machines that hold up to 9 loads of laundry at once. Features mobile-pay options, free high-speed Wi-Fi, and large–screen HDTVs. Outfitted with bright LED lighting, stainless-steel machines, and state-of-the-art security surveillance. Just a few ways we have made the laundromat experience different and better than the rest!

Why Clean Laundry?

In 2014, Cedar Valley local Akin family opened the first Clean Laundry location on Sovia Drive in Waterloo, IA. Shortly after, a second store opened on Progress Avenue. Nearly eight years later and after joining forces with Clickstop, Inc. in Urbana, we have over 30 locations in Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Missouri, Florida, Arizona, and Texas. 

All locations around the country are equipped with the Clean Laundry design style with bright LED lights, stainless steel express machines, and technology including high-speed free WiFi, security surveillance video monitors, and mobile-pay options. You can expect a clean environment to do laundry with added benefits like soft water and super-sized machines that wash and dry within an hour. Saving you time and money! Who doesn’t love that?!

Phil Akin has been in the laundromat business since the 1980s, he knows the industry in and out and feels strongly about providing a great laundromat experience to all guests.

“We set out to make the chore of doing laundry the best part of our customer’s day. Our facilities put a strong emphasis on being the cleanest laundromat that focuses on giving our customer’s time back” says Akin. “We say it’s about time, meaning that it’s time for everyone in Waterloo to get a nice place to do laundry, and not have to spend all day at the laundromat.”
