To prevent those stale odors in your suitcases place an unused fabric softener sheet into an empty suitcase before storing. Your luggage will smell fresh the next time you use it. You can even place a new one in your packed luggage the next time you travel for freshening up your clothing.

 

A Helping Hand in the Kitchen, Bathroom & Sewing room

Clean up your casserole dish

 Soften more than just fabric. If your food gets burned onto your casserole dish, no need for elbow grease. Instead fill your dish with hot water and toss in two or three used fabric softener sheets. Soak overnight, remove sheets and clean with ease.  Be sure to rinse well.

Stamp out soap scum

Remove soap build-up from glass shower doors by sprinkling a few drops of water onto a used fabric softener sheet and scrub away residue. Rinse well.

Untangle thread

Sewing can get frustrating when your thread tangles and bunches up. To prevent this problem, run a threaded needle through a new dryer fabric softener sheet before you begin stitching.  You will sew with ease.

Stop car odors

Has that new-car smell slowly turned into that old musty car stench? Place a new dryer fabric softener sheet under each car seat to neutralize stale odors and cigarette smells.

Add a brilliant shine to chrome to hubcaps, automobile fenders or your kitchen toaster. After your chrome is cleaned it can still look dull and streaky. You can easily buff up the shine with a used dryer sheet.

Television and personal computers are electrically charged and actually attract dust.  Since dryer sheets are designed to reduce static cling, they remove dust and keep it from resettling for several days or longer.

Freshen dresser drawers

There’s really no need for scented drawer-liner paper, give your dresser drawers a fresh washed aroma by tucking a new dryer fabric softener sheet at the bottom of drawers, or tape one to the back of each drawer.

At the Gym or your school locker room

Locker room and sneaker aromas  

Sneakers and gym bags usually call for some strong deodorizing. Tuck a few unused dryer sheets to each sneaker and leave overnight to neutralize odors. If your furry friend comes in from the rain and has that, you know, wet-dog aroma, wipe him down with a used fabric softener sheet and he will smell as fresh as a daisy.
