Madison Laundromat: Clean Laundry on Verona Road

This was the second laundromat I’ve tried in Madison, Wisconsin, and I was very pleasantly surprised to find how clean the place was. Floors were spotless and machines were sparkling. Signage around the laundromat is clear on what you need to do and how to work the machines. They have a wide variety of dryers and washers - two load, four load, and eight load washers, and five load and eight load dryers.

I only saw two downsides. First, you have to input cash or credit card into a machine to get tokens to put into the machine. Tokens are nonrefundable. So it’s best to put the exact amount of cash in that you need to get tokens. Also, the wash was a bit more expensive than I thought. A four load washer was $6.75 when I was expecting about $5.00. However, the washer was much faster than other cheaper washers I’ve tried and the dryer only cost a dollar and gave you 20 minutes of drying time compared to seven minutes of drying time with other dryers.

All in all, I would definitely recommend this place!

I recently started coming here early In the morning and almost every time it’s always quiet few to no people. There’s always machines available to use. Usually pretty clean, and always has good music while you wait. If you plan to come here often then the tokens are not an issue.

Excellent service

Great experience here washing my 8x10 plush ruggable rug! Their highest capacity machine only takes 30 min (enough time to run to home Depot) and you pay with the app which also tracks how much time is left in the cycle. It's pricier than other places but lots of fast machines plus spotless environment with an assistant on site makes it stand out.

I come here weekly to do laundry. The machines all work well and I have never had any issues. I started using the app to pay for laundry as the machine for debit/credit cards would randomly go out of order. Otherwise this place is perfect for my laundry needs.

If you are looking for a laundromat. That's not in the business of take your money. This is the place come. The washer give out qgood water and you can see the soap A++. The dryers are very good. All my clothes dried in 45 minutes. And is quite 🙂

It’s clean , the machines are huge it’s big the prices are a bit but worth it

The prices are slightly higher than others in the area, but it is also cleaner and nicer machines.

Clean place with coin machines that take card. There was only one issue that the bathroom was locked until someone called to unlock it remotely. I dislike this. If you are spending money at a place and expected to sit and wait, those bathrooms better be easily available during hours of operation. Fix that and this place is nice.

The service is good and there are almost always washers available. The only thing to improve is that if the laundry opens at 5 a.m., the bathrooms should also be accessible, since many times you leave home quietly so you don’t wake up your family, hoping the laundry will have that basic service.

Dryers not the best. The token system was not what I was expecting, not a fan of that. I am not a local, I was just passing thru. If you don't isr the tokens you are out your money.

Everything is great. Good security as well. I just hate that the restrooms are locked. I'm usually there around 8 -10am, it's bright out and they are still lock.

Very Expensive and short washing cycle 20 minutes, spent $4.50 to dry and my comforters were not completely dry.

Ok laundromat. A few things bug me though
- coin machines give out tokens, not coins, so if you put a $20 bill in you're spending $20 here.
- dryers require 4 token minimum to start. Not uncommon, but 4 tokens gives you 20 minutes. Add 4 more tokens while it's running and you only get 16 minutes.
- other than that, it's trashed at 5am when it opens.

Very clean. However many downsides! Parking lot is full of potholes. Bathrooms are locked unless a staff member is here which isn't often. The washer are "express" so you pay a lot more. The dryers are 5 mins per quarter. There are no medium height dryers except 8 loaders. There are no chairs except for benches. They have you pay with tokens you can only use at this laundromat. I am not coming back!

A bit over priced but for those with social anxiety it can be worth it. I was the only person there early on a Sunday. There was a sizable amount of trash but that's more so the customers fault as it's self service

Very disappointed in this Laundromat. To Start, it was very dirty, even for a busy Laundromat. 2nd, very expensive...$4.75 was the cheapest wash I saw for a tiny machine. 3rd, why tokens? Inconvenient and annoying. I had to leave. Much better options nearby.

I Like coming here, but after I spend the quarters I just had to purchase. (Bcuz I can only use them here.) I'm no longer coming. I have to wash weekly and I do, but there's no way I'm washing somewhere there's no sink accessible or a restroom. It's weird we can't utilize either when it's standard across the board at any laundromat/room. That's the only issue, which is major to me. How do you lock customers out of a restroom when we pay to keep the business going? Smh. I understand it gets dirty in there but hey that’s part of business have someone at the facility to monitor but to lock ppl out is wild. You have people but I’ve only seen a person once and she was nice to leave the bathroom open so we could all utilize it which we all were paying customers.

Stays locked, no one there to let you in, and there is not even a sink available. I probably won’t return there for those two reasons. Who wants to wash clothes and can’t use the restroom, that’s not very convenient for paying customers.

And now raise prices so high .... that i'd rather go down the street to the west side of madison at least they still have .25 drying time for 10 mins and $2 cheaper for washer

$6 for a single 25-minutes cycle in their smallest machine is highway robbery. The restrooms say they’re “locked overnight” but they were all locked on a random Sunday afternoon as well. Seems like that’s basically the default. There are plenty of reasonably priced laundromats in Madison with better amenities; don’t waste your time here.

I used to love doing laundry here. Especially because it was open 24hrs. And with a crazy work schedule nights are my only available time. Now I can’t come here anymore because they are closed by the time I am off of work. I would always leave the place very clean, cleaning up after myself and the others who find it so hard to use a trashcan for their used dryer sheets. When I was able to fit time in for laundry which was my day off (hate doing chores on my days off) I noticed that the prices had quite a jump. Although they offer massage chairs…BUT you wont have a clue how much you need to put in because there are no prices shown. Do I put in a couple of 1s? A 5? A 10 or a 20? Yeah no way in hell am I dropping a 10 or 20 in, especially after the washing and drying prices went up.

Most overpriced laundry machines in Madison, then they have a dollar raise over the weekend I’ve watched their prices go up past couple months but they can’t even get the automatic/handycap doors fixed this place is mad money hungry probably is my last option on where I’d go and don’t forget about their bathrooms never unlocked but their machines are high as hell smallest machine costs $6 at any other laundry that price would be $2.75/$3 max

Disgusting both in cleanliness and the fact that they have a radio station blasting anti trans rhetoric

Place was filthy like nobody had cleaned in days, when I tried to talk to the staff member (kinda short, glasses, white, brown hair) but all she told me was to call the number on the wall. Couldn't bother to listen to anything else I had to say. Wouldn't allow me to use the bathroom though I clearly was seen paying for laundry. Not worth coming here at all ever again

GO SOMEPLACE ELSE!!! So im editing my original review fpr the third time. The washing machines dont even wash good enough to disolve the pods completely unless you put in extra money. The use so little water in the wash cycle that the clothes come out barely damp and with parts of pods undisolved and even whole pods undisolved. I have never in my life had that issue in any wash machine. And it wasnt clothes in just one machine it was in every machine i washed clothes in, all of which had undisolved pods. They charge more than any other laundromat and cant even have washers that do the job they are supposed to do without putting in extra money. GREEDY, GREEDY, GREEDY is all i can say.I dunno if its new owner or what but the place is filthy. It used to be a clean place but not anymore. Also the last 2 times ive come the dollar token dispenser ripped me off a dollar, which I get its only a dollar but how many people has that done that to it adds up. Most people aren't going to go through the trouble to get a refund on a dollar considering it'll cost you five times that in gas just to get there and get it. is quite expensive compared to most other places I've gone in madison. Also you can only get tokens not quarters which I dont like. In conclusion I will be taking my business elsewhere from now on.

Why do the 3 load washers say $5.50? It took $6.50 to run. And that's the smallest size?? I was unable to wash work clothes separately as they only took up half of the smallest machine.
The dryer also took an extra 2 quarters from me.
Bathrooms were also locked so I couldn't wash the grime from their tokens off my hands.
Oh yeah, they don't take quarters they have their own tokens so you can't go to another laundromat.
The benches they have are UNCOMFORTABLE and STINKY. And if you try to sit in the comfortable massage chair without paying it triggers an alarm.

I am so sick of no attendant ever being there, literally every other laundromat in Madison has a restroom, “locked if unattended” ITS ALWAYS UNATTENDED. And then what really kills me is that their vending machines are card only- meanwhile they have the nerve to have TWO types of tokens, not quarters, tokens, usable only here. With a card only vending machine please someone tell me how that works. Worst laundromat in Madison in my opinion if we’re talking about price w amenities… like using the restroom..literally been here atleast 10 times and it’s always been closed.

i truly think offering token machines instead of quarters is an embarrassing cash grab - especially with the way the prices of their machines are set up. this is also without a doubt the busiest & most crowded laundromat i’ve ever been to. do not give this place your money. go literally anywhere else.

Don’t lock the bathrooms if you’re open. People need to pee and maybe even want to wash their hands if they get soap on them. Also there’s always garbage all over the place and in the baskets.
