Clean and safe facility, plenty of washers and dryers, though the layout is a little cramped. Two large commercial dryers and two large commercial washers as well. Vending machines have snacks, plus laundry bags, detergent, softener, and other items you may need. Dryers are some of the most affordable I've used, it costs 2.50 for 45 minutes on high heat in a commercial dryer.

The Laundromat was extremely clean. There were plenty of washers and dryers available. Aaron the employee who was working was professional even while taking care of 3 different customers at the time. We accidentally put .50 cents in the wrong dryer and without raising an issue or redirecting me, Aaron started the dryer with a smile & said with a smile mistakes happen & we understand so please let everyone know we're here for you & want to favorite be your place to do your laundry. Its a little pricey, but I think its fully worth it. I was here at noon on a Sunday. You can pay with phone, card or coins. It was clean, and actively being kept up on by staff, probably the nicest laundromat I've been to. Washers are super quick, and have plenty of options (from 2 loads to 8 loads). There's working, stocked vending machines and a clean bathroom (staff has to let you in though). Also plenty of seats and places to fold your laundry.

I go here all the time. Clean, friendly staff and friendly people. Don’t go late at night as a lot of homeless people or/ and not family centered adults. The machines work great and the 24/7 helps busy professionals that do overnights get clean clothes. Ifykyk. The spot has a lot of food places nearby, which helps if you are hungry and don’t want to wait for it to wash/dry in your car.

It's a very quaint laundromat. Reasonably priced but not many carts available. The guy on duty was super helpful when my coins got lodged in the coin return slot. So about the 2 massage chairs near the front door are AWESOME‼️ Nothing like treating yourself to a massage while the clothes are in the dryer.

Wonderful place very clean plus all new Dexter washers and dryers. The franchise owner must have spent a large amount of capital to buy top shelf equipment. The price and value is great. I wish they offered tide pods in a package to be offered in vending.

The staff is very helpful and very friendly and kind she is amazing as well it’s very affordable and it doesn’t take long at all to wash and dry would definitely recommend to others and will more than likely willing be returning.

I love it . The staff is friendly and very helpful . I visit the one on progress ave quite often and just started going to the one on Franklin recently because it's closer to me but same experience. The washers are nice sizes for a decent price as well as the dryers . It's usually very quiet and peaceful when I go in there . Have never had a negative interaction or bad experience. It's a quick in and out experience for a great price ♥️ I have also did the delivery laundry service and those prices and experience are amazing as well .

Gotta say I’ve only had one bad experience. I was pulling my clothes out of the washing machine. It was full of animal hair all over the place, which was disgusting. I don’t want that crap all over my clothes after I just washed them. People need to be considerate, shake your stuff out and stuff before you bring it to wash it or dry it think of others. The people that work here are always willing to help and the way they clean machines out and everything is top-notch that’s why I keep coming back. I like the idea of mixing the coins with the quarters because I’m tired of coming in trying to get quarters beforehand and people that didn’t even do laundry would come in and drain all the quarters if you’re not doing laundry here stay out of the corner machine. That’s a massive problem all over Other than that. Nothing but good vibes thanks, Clean Laundry.

I recently started coming here early In the morning and almost every time it’s always quiet few to no people. There’s always machines available to use. Usually pretty clean, and always has good music while you wait. If you plan to come here often then the tokens are not an issue.

Very new and clean laundry facility. The manager, Dominique, is very helpful and nice. Great place to come do your laundry, and you can be in and out in an hour.

It's a nice facility it's just getting a little pricey to launder your clothes but you can get them washed in a reasonable amount of time. I like the manager at the Progress Street location. She's nice and I see her clean a lot.

Amazing laundromat. We were there kinda early on a Wednesday. Clean. Bright. The attendant knew we were new. Came and helped us get things going. Guided us to the most economical washing machines. Helped us with the cash to token machines. We were in and out in about30 minutes ... 3 loads all going at once. She even held the door open for us as we walked out with our baskets of clean laundry.

Our washing machine broke down ... Gotta do what yah gotta do ... until the replacement arrives.

Clean Laundry on 59th & Douglas Des Moines, IA is a great place to do your laundry! The laundrymat is clean & the attendant working there, Lisa, helped me choose the right size of washing machine for my laundry size. The owner is lucky to employ this hard working woman. Highly recommend Clean Laundry on Progress. We were rained out at Ragbrai and needed to do a LOT of laundry quickly. Angel went out of her way to make us feel welcome. Everything worked like clockwork.

Found this excellent laundromat based on the number of positive reviews. Found it to be as advertised, clean, air conditioned (outside temp 90 degrees). Truly liked the option to pay with coins, credit card or the mobile app. The large, clean machines did my doxie’s bedding in one third the time of other laundromats I have used.
My one small issue was the fact that the bathroom was not accessible due to no employee on duty (3:00 - 3:30 pm) on a Monday. Regardless; had an excellent experience and the bedding came out ‘pawfectly’!

Whoever was on shift from 4pm to 5pm on July 17th 2025 was absolutely phenomenal. Amazing customer service. Very friendly and very helpful. Thanks for the help if you see this.

The store is very kept up and clean. The bathrooms were very clean and the machines worked without issue using the app. There was no guessing as I waited for the wash and dry to complete thanks to the app.

Will come again on my next trip to Florida in this area.

Been coming here since it opened. We had a couple of hiccups here and there, but the GM is caring. The app wasn't working and for the inconvenience she helped me out. Her workers are all wonderful and respectful.

Nice, bright, clean place. Everything works. All front load machines, some really big ones if that's what you need. Dexter Pay didn't work when we started. I had to get change, but it was working 5 minutes later.

Usually not a laundromat person, but as far as the place goes, they are trying really hard to keep it clean and functional. Some of the users of the place are rude and disrespectful. Not the establishments fault, but the biggest thing I noticed was that "open machines" in the app were always full of stuff because people refused to keep their stuff moving. So it says available, but it's full. Maybe this changes based on busy times, but I noticed this while we sat awaiting space.

I love this place! I come here mostly to wash blankets and bedspread. They have machines that take up to 8 loads. The place is kept well maintained and clean. The token machines are easy to use. The price is good since you can fit quite a lot in the machines.

Clean and quiet I come here instead of going to the ones in cedar rapids . This is the cleanest of all of them.

Great experience here washing my 8x10 plush ruggable rug! Their highest capacity machine only takes 30 min (enough time to run to home Depot) and you pay with the app which also tracks how much time is left in the cycle. It's pricier than other places but lots of fast machines plus spotless environment with an assistant on site makes it stand out.

Absolutely amazing place and staff! 10s all around! Staff was extremely welcoming from the moment I walked in. Immediately recognized I was a first time visitor and came over to assist when I was having issues with the coin processor. Which, thankfully, had a tap to pay feature (one of few locations that has one). Making this location extremely accessible for those without physical cards or only cash (Super important). The staff member on shift explained how to use the coin processor, walked me through the best way to use the washers and dryers for my moneys worth! And even encouraged me to get comfy and use the massage chairs at the entrance (First laundromat with massage chairs that I’ve been to!). Since I was a first timer he gave me a free massage chair session, to which it was so good I of course paid for another. But seriously I’ve only used laundromats like twice in my life EVER. And it’s usually a result of an emergency, and not having easy access to my own washer and dryer. Good to know this place takes care of its people whether they’re regulars or first timer out of towners like myself! Made the process less anxiety filled and seem less. He let me know to come to him if I needed anything. And spent his time making sure all appliances were clean and sanitized immediately after use! 10/10!!!!

Had the best experience today… LaNya is the only attendant I’ve seen here in years. Upon arrival she saw that I had a heavy load, she immediately came to aid and assist. She held the door for us, grabbed the perfect basket for us, I had trouble with the washer, she helped without asking, she also did the same thing for everyone who showed up after me. She is knowledgeable, friendly, smart and helpful! I have a washer and dryer at home but knowing that someone like LaNya is there is motivation to keep coming back here when I can’t get my laundry done quickly at home! I’m actually hoping that she’s always there whenever I come. She was picking up after people who were littering… She made laundry fun today. 10/10

I come here weekly to do laundry. The machines all work well and I have never had any issues. I started using the app to pay for laundry as the machine for debit/credit cards would randomly go out of order. Otherwise this place is perfect for my laundry needs.

We’ve been going here to use the dryers ever since ours broke and every time there are dryers available, the staff is really nice, and the place is super clean.

I love coming here, however, today some young women came in and were messing around and not doing laundry. The employee politely asked them to leave since they were not utilizing the business and were basically loitering and were bothering actual customers. The girls started yelling at the employee and calling her names. The employee remained calm, polite, professional, and respectful. Kudos to her because I wouldn’t have been as kind. After the girls left, the employee came around to make sure the customers were okay and apologized. Shame on those girls for being so rude.

OMG the manager Nivea is great she even said I could put my dog in the washer I know she probably was kidding but then again my dog Stinky was stinky so who knows I never actually went thru with it.... but she so great with pets she had a treat for him every time I go there... also she keep the place so clean that you can actually sit on the floor.....

This was by far one of the best laundry mats I have ever been to. This place had spotless washers and dryers that worked wonderfully dried clothes fast and they were dry. The washers and dryers were all clean and well taken care of.The prices were very affordable as well.they also have dexterpay which is so convenient.

Wanda is awesome!! We came @8:30 am and the place looked like a war zone. None of the machines had any money in it including the ATM. Wonda went up beyond by giving good customer service and rewarded the people that patiently waited for someone to come in and help us. Wanda apologize and and said she was sorry for the inconvenience, and she did what she could to treat all of us like we where important, the right way to start a Monday, because of this lady we will be back. Meanwhile this lady deserves a raise because she is definitely a asset to this laundry facility. Thank you Wanda you have a wonderful day.

I lost 20 bucks in the coin machines back in October 2024. I called the staff at the time, and they agreed to give me my money back if I came back to the store. I never got around to it, but when I randomly came back in March 2025, I told the staff about it, and they gave me my 20 bucks back in coins since I was already there to do my laundry again. The staff was super helpful, and I really appreciated it. This is a clean laundromat, and everything runs smoothly

I needed to go to laundromat to wash a large rug. I have not been to a laundromat in years. I was so pleased how clean this one was. I wasn’t even sure how everything worked. The girl helping was so helpful and kind. I very much appreciated the kindness. I would easily go there again.

This is the nicest laundromat I have ever been to. They have 2,3,4, 6 & 9 load washers and 3, 5 & 8 load dryers. All machines are new and they have soft water.
Washing Machine prices range from $4.00 for a 2 load to $12.00 for a 9 load. Dryers are all $.25 for 5 minutes. Staff is friendly and helpful. The whole place is wonderfully clean.
I came in with 8 loads and was in and out in 1 hr 15 mins. Highly recommend!

The facility is clean and you don't need actual money to buy the tokens. You can use your card to buy and it's great. It's very reasonable and it's next to McDonald's so while you wait you can grab a bite to eat.

I came here today to wash a rug we use for preschoolers. The place was clean and well kept. All the patrons were friendly and the attendant Cindy was extremely helpful to all. She was diligent on making sure the place was clean and took the time to interact with the patrons and checked if they need help with anything.

Frequent visitor. The place is clean, at time its pretty quite. Has free wifi and wall plugs if you feel like working on something. Machines are a little high, but my clothes are CLEAN.

Very personal and down to earth! Definitely a #1 reason to want to continue buisness there! Machines also wash very well and fast. And dryers take no time at all. Go in with 2 weeks of laundry and get out with in an hour. Clothes even came out smelling and looking clean.

I come here every week and I don't ever have any issues, place is always clean and I usually spend an hour to an hour and a half, the dude who works there is friendly and helpful, music is always playing, overall I've always had a good vibe here. 👍🏽

Stopped in for some last minute urgent laundry around 7pm on a Friday!
The facility was super clean, plenty of open spaces. The whole place smelled like weed which might bother some people.

Washers range from $5 to $13 for 25 minute use and the dryers are $0.25/5 minutes. They don't take card but you can convert cash into quarters or download an app and pay that way.

I didn't use the bathrooms or other amenities but there was an employee cleaning the shop the whole time I was here. I brought my own basket but I did notice there weren't that many.

This was my first time using this laundromat. They have great prices, clean environment and a variety of machines to use. I took my grandkids and Shayna( sorry if I spelled it wrong) the attendant helped them connect the wifi while I was doing my laundry. She was very friendly. I’ve been here a few times and it’s a great place to wash cloth. Clean, spacious and they have an app so you don’t need cash. Also, Tasha is so helpful. I’ve never had an issues but she always ask if I need help with anything.

Wednesdays the dryers are free if you use the Dexter Pay app to pay. We had about 5 loads of laundry and used 2 of the 4x load washers that were $6 each. So we paid $12 for all of our laundry. Very pleased.

I was nervous to come here today for the first time to leave my cloths for wash dry & fold service, especially since yesterday i had a really bad experience with the lady that works at another laundromat place call Busy Bubbles(left a review there as well). The moment i walked into Clean laundry i liked it everything was so clean, smelled good and specially The service of the blonde lady that wears glasses made me feel welcomed like if i been coming here for ever. The way she explained to me everything, from the services they offer to having the option of picking up my cloth from the lockers . That was awesome!! Ever since they opened this location it has always been the best around.

It's a good laundromat sometimes there's some homeless people outside and that can be a little creepy but overall I go there all the time now it's fairly priced and your clothes get done washed and dry in an hour

I have a VERY large comforter measuring 132x120. I took it to a laundromat that stated they had xl machines for comforters. I was very disappointed because it came out with dry spots and not clean. I brought my comforter to Clean Laundry in IC and used their xl machine and it got it clean! The capacity of these machines is great!

The owner, Ethan, is a really great and friendly guy. He really went above and beyond and I saw him working hard keeping the place clean.

The facility is very clean...even the detergent cups! Ty was constantly working on cleaning the floors, machines and vacuuming the dryer vents. It is the cleanest laundromat I have ever been to. We will definitely be going back! Thanks Ty for all your hard work.

Very clean. All washers and dryers have clear instructions with multiple load capacities. These are most efficient for very large loads, such as bedding, pillows, and work clothing. Machines appear to be newer and well-maintained. An employee is present, and she appears pleasant as she helps someone with a dryer problem. It was not busy in the middle of the day on a Thursday. This was my first visit, and I plan to return with bedding and pillows. Strongly recommend.

Performance and efficiency was to my standards

Staff on shift this evening, and it was a good thing. I put in 3$ of quarters for a 4$ wash. I happened to notice that the machine was not deleting the amount of quarters needed to start the washer. The staff was polite and assisted with the malfunctioning washer. Thanks again for making this evening easier than if there was no staff available.

Easy parking, bathroom available and it was very clean. Chairs available to sit and wait for machines to do their work. Change and token machine working.

I have been coming to the Marion Clean Laundromat for three weeks. It is very clean. Everything works well and the attendant was very helpful to me.
I have been to two other laundromats in town and they were terrible. Unclean, dirty and machine's didn't work.
I will definitely be coming back!! Marion is my favorite town to live in.

I accidentally added too many sheets to the largest washer and it didn’t completely wring out at the end. So I called the owners, at almost 11pm, and they credited the machine to rerinse and rewring it out. Great service & great free dryer Wednesday’s too!

My washer broke days before I had to leave on a work trip! I called clean laundry and they were able to get my laundry done with a quick turnaround. I was super impressed with their service when I picked up my clothes, it was folded better than when i do it and i was able to easily pack straight into my suitcase. I might just start taking all my washing to them!

I was an out of State visitor trying to do laundry. Let me just say that this place is clean. I think the big dryers can be cheaper but well it’s what it is.

I went on Sunday July 9th, 2023. There was personnel in place cleaning the machines as people were using them. She was doing a good job, especially with the filters in the dryers. It is important that the filters in a public laundry facility be cleaned constantly; so good job on taking care of that detail.

The place was clean, the staff present that day was welcoming and helpful. She was dedicated to her job that's for sure.

This laundromat was very clean, bright and inviting! All of the machines are in great working condition, and the dryers took 1 coin to dry my loads. The vending machines were well stocked and I love that they took Apple Pay! The washing machines and dryers take both quarters as well as their coins, and you can also use your debit/credit card or download the Dexter app, which is a plus! The bathrooms were clean and I loved how there is a little sensor at the front doors that you can just wave over and they will open automatically. Perfect for when your hands are full with laundry as you’re leaving.

I am giving them a 4.9 because they aren’t open 24/7 lol but I rounded up to 5 stars ☺️ Closing at 10pm daily is pretty late so that’s convenient enough.

this facility is actually alright as far as laundromats go, I mean no one really likes your to one. this particular day I went on a Sunday afternoon. it was slighty busy not too bad when I first got there. there where still machines available. I used 3 lg a med and a regular machine. (should of went the week before, but again who wants to spend there day off hauling baskets of dirty clothes around!) anyways.. it was I think 9$ 6$ and 4$ each load- not really that bad! I get my stuff in front of the 3 big machines I want to use. get my quarters and start outtn stuff in one machine. didnt see that somebody had came and used one of the machines.. kinda irritating so I justuae one on the other side. I get the last machine ready( I use oxy and the pellets that smell soo good) and then guy who is cleaning says oh that machine is out of order, because of course someone took the dang tape off but even at that it wasn't labeled very well to begin with. so that really irritated me.. people standing there who , I guess knew this, could of helped a girl out. so now I've wasted the oxy and pellets and have to take it all out and move it around to the other side as well. but the clerk working actually did a good and paid 6$ on the wash. thought that was pretty alright. the place had started to get a lil crowded at this point and I have 5 machines that now none of them are next to each other. this family came in a mom 3 teenage-ish and 2 younger elementary kids..of course they start unloading their baskets on the side where with 2 of the machines I'm using. taking up all the space with ya know 6 huge black garbage bags and 5 laundry baskets . mom making the older ones keep a look out for an empty machine cuz now the place is pretty packed, and so these damn girls are literally standing right in front of the my machinea I can barely get the basket in front of it to unload it and then when I try to move to go to the dryers one of them is basically reaching over me to put stuff In the machine but I can't freaking move cuz the other one is just standing there not moving at all. I'm like excuse me- yes a little loud and yes with a little attitude to bother do then at the same time, cuz come on, maybe if you let me get out of the way you could maybe have room to do your thing.. if course they now keep giving me dirty looks but whatever. and one main reason I usually do this at night is i like my dryers right next to each other so I can keep track of them and it showed sucked I kept thinking different machines where mine and thinking I was missing a load that someone must of stolen one( nobody did). and of course the uh oh I need to move family was out of control. momm went to the car the kids where running around being loud they sat in the chairs right basically on to.of the rebel I was using to.foel my clothes. mom comes in starts yelling at he kids now so you've got her yelling the kids screamimg at each other or playing around. I'm now all anxiety fueled on edge. I end up not even folding all my stuff. all the typical things one would expect when you think of going to the laundromat. in favor of this one though- the machines work good there was only one broke down, all the dryers where working, it was clean had a decent amount of sitting spots. they offer free wifi. as I said washers aren't overly pricey and drying is fairly cheap at 1$ for 6 min and then .25¢ for additional 6 if loaded before it stops and the machines have good heat. parking is good . a few spots up front, but a big parking area around back with a back back door entrance. oh and the bathrooms are open if I didn't say it already. in another few weeks Ill be going back.. it's just so much fun!!

I like this place but, some dryers is not very too hot but, please check it out the temperature. This is clean place!!

It's nice to have a 24 hour laundromat that isn't trashed and full of wondering vagabonds.

Nobody is ever there and no posted way to retrieve your money but if you have the app, you can email and so far it has been made right. It is open 24 hours a day, which is nice. Even though people are hard on the machines, maintenance actually keeps up fairly well .I would recommend this laundry facility.

It was a nice clean place. Modern machines. A few were out of order, not a big deal tho.

The prices are slightly higher than others in the area, but it is also cleaner and nicer machines.

Clean place with coin machines that take card. There was only one issue that the bathroom was locked until someone called to unlock it remotely. I dislike this. If you are spending money at a place and expected to sit and wait, those bathrooms better be easily available during hours of operation. Fix that and this place is nice.

I do gotta say its very clean in there that is worth the 4 stars. I feel as though being handicapped i feel theres no room to move. I especially don't like the fact I gotta use a card to go here i don't like that id rather use quarters instead.

I’ve been coming here since there was free drying on Tuesdays & Thursdays then it was changed to Tuesday only which was fine. My problem is all the amenities have been stripped yet the prices keep INCREASING. I’m aware that prices do increase overtime but the increase here is rapidly increasing seems like every month or two. The huge washer within the last 4 months has gone from $10, $11, 12, now $12.50. Today I used the $8 washer that was recently increased like a month ago as of today it’s now $8.75, even the small washers that were recently
increased a month ago have increased 1.50 more. However the free drying days are LONG gone and the snack machine never has snacks and even those prices have increased tremendously. I love the atmosphere and the cleanliness of the laundromat but with these prices increasing every few weeks to months I may start looking for a new place to wash my laundry. These prices are increasing too frequently and there’s nothing for the customers in return.
